Hard hat diving including Decompression chamber 9 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hard Hat dive and Decompression experience.

I went to the following commercial diving establishment last sunday and carried out a hard hat dive in their training tank with the old fashioned dive gear on - weight of kit was 12.50 stone! plus after lunch a 50m+ dive in the decompression chamber.

Directions can be found via: www.multimap.com by typing in the post codes.

The Diver Training College, Malt Kiln Lane, Appleton Roebuck, York, North Yorkshire. YO23 7TD.

The days program start at 9am (sharp) till 5pm approximately.

On arrival the group will be divided into two, one for the hard hat and the other for the recompression dive.

Lunch is provided and takes place at round 12:30 (beverages to be paid for, but the premises are licensed) then the groups change over.

Requirements;

· Under suits for the hard hat dive.

· Anyone wishing to try the Kirby Morgan helmets will also need to bring their own dry suits

· Your dive computers for the chamber and Hard Hat dive so you may record the event (both logable).

· Log books.

· Spare cash if you want to purchase anything while there.

Its a great day out if you've never been - cost for the day was £45.00 including lunch.
