Location: St. Abbs, Scottish Borders
Dates: Friday 12th June – Sunday 14th June (2 days diving)
Cost: approx. £200 to £300
Diver Grade: Ocean Diver + (AOD/ SD+ for Glanmire 30m wreck)
To enjoy a summer weekend diving in an amazing marine reserve in southern Scotland. For an indication of some of the wildlife in St Abbs, feel free to do some more googling or scroll back through NEDSAC’s Facebook.
We will be diving with Paul on Mv Shore Diver, see his website below.
https://divestabbs.com/
There may also be the opportunity for a shore dive or snorkel if people want.
We have use of Paul’s dive lodge which sleeps up to 10 people. This costs £650 for the weekend and benefits of this is that should we get bad weather and Paul Cancels diving we can normally get a refund or move the booking. It is also harbour side so less driving. You can be from Bed to Boat in around 30 seconds if you’re quick! The people using the lodge the cheaper the trip.
The sleeping arrangements are comfortable bunk beds. There are three rooms in the dive lodge, room 1 has two beds and rooms 2 and 3 have four. All three rooms are ensuite.
Another perk over non-diver accomodation is that the lodge also has a large kit room for drysuits/kit and wet gear.
Parking: We have three free spaces outside our place. Other parking is available at the harbour
In the accommodation there are self catering facilities for those that want to. As is tradition there will be a group meal out either up the road in coldingham (walkable) or travel to Eyemouth on the saturday night. If the weather is nice enough there is also a BBQ available to us in the yard.
The cost of the trip is £130 for the diving, plus accomodation (£65 for the weekend if we fill the lodge) plus food, fuel and breathing gas. The cost is highly dependent on the number of sign-ups, so finalised cost will be communicated once sign-up is complete.
Breathing gas costs will be finalized on site. But Paul charged £6 a fill last year for reference. You need 2 cylinders for this trip, unless the skipper runs a shuttle and then we can fill between dives.
To secure your space on the trip we will be asking for a deposit of £100 by January 31st 2026 with the remainder due 3rd May 2026.
The sign up form below.

Further details to come once sign up is completed. Your space is confirmed by being added to the trip chat. If oversubscribed a waiting list will open.
If for any reason you can’t make it once signed up, you need to let the trip organiser know ASAP, it is your responsibility to find a suitable replacement. Any unrecoverable costs for a trip you are signed on for are due whether you dive or not, unless a replacement diver can be found.
